Re: Application Update...

After some further investigation, I realised that the original map file was saved from Adobe Photoshop with Adobe RGB colour settings. When I loaded it in Irfanview, I saw that the Exif ColorSpace settings were: Uncalibrated/Unknown (-1 ), so I unticked the Save Exif settings in Irfanview's JPEG Sav...

Re: Application Update...

Wow! Well that was a lot sooner than I expected - bravo! I downloaded it and it seems to work perfectly. That said, it does seem a little more sensitive with jpegs - a couple of my gameboxes loaded some graphics files with the wrong colours (blue swapped with brown mostly), but a little tinkering (c...

which will be a 64 bits port
Wow - does that mean what I hope it means - that we will at last be able to address more than 2 gbs of graphics assets?

Re: Newbie Question

Well, with ZT you can have maps, counters/cards, and terrains. With your particular game it would probably be best to either have your track defined as a terrain (to enable you to place and fix it next to the map on your main "Board" tab) or as a map, to keep it fixed and separate on its o...

Re: Newbie Question

Yes, as I suspected you had missed out one line in your .zts file: <layout board="Tracks" /> <?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?> <game game-box="Un Empire En Flammes" scenario-name="Standard" scenario-description="Main Game" scena...

Re: Masks

Yes, I had a look at your Brandy Station Gamebox and converted your .gif Map into a .png and built some mask files for your counters (took a few seconds in Irfanview). I also cropped two single pixel lines (one off the top and one off the bottom) of your Markers so that all counters were 150x150 in ...

Re: Sizing maps when building a game box

Hi Dan, It looks like you're simply running out of memory by trying to load too many graphics files. Because ZT is a 32bit program it cannot load anything more than 2GB into memory. You will also need at least that much RAM on your video card. The dimensions of each file is irrelevant as long as you...

Re: JPG, PNG, and GIF Maps

Hi Uhlan, Yes, GIFs are not recommended, but also please remember that JPEGs, PNGs etc. are simply disk compression formats and that their size (on disk) has no real bearing on the amount of RAM memory they will take up when loaded. I'm certain I can figure out any issues you might have (and your ma...

Well I'm not sure (and a bit rusty!), but have you not simply tried creating a standard .zip folder using Windows?

Hi Pete,

Try changing the scenario-name in your .zts file from "All" to "ILF2.zts".
