he wants to simulate a boardgame that is on a PC screen, not convert a boardgame to a PC game where you have features that aren't possible with board and counter games alone. Agreed! It's what makes ZunTzu shine, compared to others. If you want to see what the opposing goal could lead to: try to pl...

Great news! VPG is also working on something similar though, I was not allowed to convert their Nap20 series for the EveryGame app because of this. (Every Game now appears to be out of the app store completely, I wonder what they did wrong?) And people are working on Vassal for iOS. But ZunTzu still...

Re: UI Suggestion : Contextually Aware Right Click Support
Some of the goals of the UI were: - to feel like a virtual game table, with emphasis on the mouse and no pop-ups or context menus. - to look more like a video game than a desktop application. - to optimize the screen real estate (I prefer laptops ;-) ). - to have almost no visible UI elements or at...

Re: Disconnect problem
I played my first game with ZunTzu earlier this evening - or attempted to. I have Win7 64 bit. I added an exception to the Windows firewall, but could not connect to my opponent. I disabled my router's firewall, and still no luck. I then tried to host, and it said I still had a firewall problem. I ...

If you find that you need to stack more than a dozen counters, maybe you should consider turning the counters into playing cards. In a real paperboard game, it is typically difficult to stack more than a dozen counters. This usually happens with counters which are put aside. Markers and whatever. T...

And Pokke, Have you seen this thread on CSW: http://talk.consimworld.com/WebX?14@863.TBoHaY79ZV7.40723950@.1dd4878e/0  Ah no, did not. (I usually hang out on BGG). Thanks for the link! I certainly would love to have a iPad-like thing on which I can play Zun Tzu modules. Could use a laptop of ...

Friendly suggestion for Jerome
Know that I'm completely unaware of technical problems/programming languages and all that, but have you already considered trying to make ZunTzu run on the iPad?

Units that should be hidden from the other player(s).
As we cannot assign units to a player (yet) I was wondering if this could do the trick. You place the counters down on the board, backside up. As in the real game or with cardgames you simply drag the counter that you want to investigate into your "hand" where you can turn it over without ...
