Sound troubles

How can I re-run ZunTzu's sound setup? It didn't recognize the input from my microphone when it ran on installation, although I can use Skype without problems.

The IP determination mechanism used by ZunTzu is simple. ZunTzu sends a HTTP request to this web site, and then reads the IP address contained in the response. That's the IP address of the caller from the web site's point of view, so I don't see how it can be completely bogus. If ZunTzu fails to de...

Re: Tabs

No, the only way to avoid problems is to keep the names short. Hm. In the case of Second Front, the only way I see of solving this is putting more than one countersheet in the same board. Could get a little unwieldy. Oh well. Anyway, for the next round of development, please consider adding one or ...

Tabs

Jerome, is there a way to use more tabs than can fit on the width of the screen? Today I inadvertently used some boards with long names and the rightmost tabs were out of view. Since one of the gameboxes I intend to create is for a monster game with lots of countersheets (Second Front), this can be ...

Do you mean that no address is returned or that the returned address is wrong? Two different situations: 1. Windows box behind a Linux firewall using IP Masquerade --- the address returned by ZunTzu is completely bogus, it's not the public IP address of the ADSL router. I determine this address by ...

I've received your error reports, thanks. Actually you crashed after the sound test step (that's because the test needs to be passed only once and then is skipped on subsequent runs). The error is a Direct3D error. Something goes wrong when ZunTzu tries to assess the capabilities of the 3D card. Wh...

Something worth mentioning: when you're hosting a game, make sure you communicate your public IP address to the other players. That address can be different from your local IP address. ZunTzu determines the correct address automatically, and copies it to your clipboard. Just paste it into an email ...

Error on installation

Jerome, you may have received a flurry of error reports in the past few minutes. That was me, trying to install ZunTzu in a machine outside my frewall. I did a fresh install of Windows XP SP2, DirectX 9.0c and the .NET framework. When I tried to install ZunTzu, the installation went smoothly until i...

Ports necessary

What are the ports used by ZunTzu to connect? My Windows machine is behind a Linux firewall, and I think I managed to open udp port 1805, but my partner couldn't connect. I have seen references in the Internet to DirectX games using other ports; is this the case with ZunTzu?

What do you have in mind? The ability to keep in writing some information visible to both players --- say, "This port has already used 75% of its capacity this turn", or "Demolition unsuccessful", or other notes like that. When preparing scenarios, for instance, you could have a...

Feature request

Jerome, when you have the time for it, one useful feature would be the ability to add short text notes to specific points of the map board.

Site avaiable for sharing of gameboxes

I'm the sysadmin for the web portal of Confraria Lúdica , a Brazilian-based gaming group. I have just added a ZunTzu gameboxes area to the Downloads section of the portal; it is available for sharing gameboxes. Please note that, although the primary language of the pages is Brazilian Portuguese, the...
