Gamebox checksums?

I have a question about patching gameboxes.

Say I create a rather large gamebox, and share it with a friend. Later I find a mistake in a small file, and update that file in my gamebox. If I sent just this small updated file, and have my friend update his gamebox himself, will the two gameboxes be compatible? Or to update the gamebox the whole ztb has to be reshared?

Just sending the changed file should be fine...
